Splendide WFL2500X Washer and DV1725X Dryer Review

The pair is built around a narrow closet and a standard household circuit, and every strength follows from that.

It fits where a normal set cannot

Each unit is 23½ inches wide. Stacked with the stack kit, the pair stands about 66⅝ to 66¾ inches tall, so it slides into a closet opening that a full-size set would never clear.

It runs on ordinary 120V current

The washer draws 6A and the dryer 12.5A, each on its own 15A circuit. No 240V dryer outlet is needed, which is the whole point for apartments, condos, tiny homes and accessory units wired for regular household current.

The washer holds a real load

The drum is 2.3 cu. ft. in stainless steel, with a maximum spin of 1,200 rpm, 15 wash selections, touch controls and a digital display that shows the time remaining. Speed+ shortens a cycle, and delay start, child lock, steam and an extra rinse are there when you want them.

The dryer keeps up with the washer

The 4.0 cu. ft. drum takes a full washer load without splitting it. Opti-Sense moisture sensing runs 13 of the 15 drying selections, and the drum turns both ways to keep clothes from balling up. The door hinge reverses, an anti-crease tumble runs after the cycle, and the large front-access lint filter has a clean-filter light.

It is built for a moving vehicle, which pays off in a home

The one-touch Winterize cycle runs antifreeze through the plumbing, and the Tub Fresh cycle cleans the drum. Delay start and child lock are on both units, and both are app compatible for remote start, stop and monitoring.

Buyers on Amazon back the cleaning

Amazon's summary of its customer reviews reports strong cleaning, with one buyer noting ground-in dirt coming out and another finding baggy jeans crisp. Cleaning performance is the topic buyers raise most, and the large majority of ratings are four or five stars.

The dryer is vented, not ventless, and that single fact decides whether this pair can go in your home at all.

The dryer must vent outdoors

The DV1725X needs 4-inch rigid metal duct to the outdoors. An interior closet with no exterior wall rules the pair out.

It is slow by full-size standards

A Regular wash runs about 1 hour 42 minutes, and a full load then needs roughly 75 to 110 minutes to dry, so a wash-and-dry cycle takes close to three hours.

It needs two circuits, not one

Each unit wants its own dedicated 15A circuit.

Capacity has a ceiling

The 2.3 cu. ft. drum will not take a queen comforter. Bedding goes in as smaller loads on the Bedding cycle.

The warranty is short

Coverage is one year parts and labor, extendable to two.

The bundle includes a vent kit, the SK04 stack kit and starter laundry powder. Published dimensions vary slightly between the brand's own documents, so measure to the larger figure when you plan a closet.

Closet opening and door swing

Plan for about 67¼ inches high, 24 inches wide and 24¾ inches deep stacked. The washer door needs about 40⅞ inches of clear space in front of it.

Venting

Run 4-inch rigid metal duct to the outdoors. Closet doors need ventilation openings at the top and bottom.

Water and drain

Standard household water pressure feeds the washer. The drain is a standpipe with its top set at the height the manual specifies, with an air break.
